How you can help

Help us to achieve the HIFA2015 Goal: a future where people are no longer dying for lack of knowledge

During 2009, HIFA2015 has achieved much thanks to financial support from our 2009 sponsors: British Medical Association (main sponsor), British Nursing Index, ePORTUGUESe, International Child Health Group, Network for Information and Digital Access, Royal College of Midwives, and Royal College of Nursing. We are delighted to confirm that the BMA have announced that they will support HIFA2015 for a third year, from January to December 2010. We need more funding to implement the HIFA2015 strategy in full. Can you join with the BMA in helping us to build on our achievements in 2010 and beyond? Please contact us to explore possibilities for sponsorship or in-kind support.

“We support HIFA2015… We will achieve it if together we work hard to share experiences, to train medical librarians and convince the stakeholders about the importance of HIFA2015 and its impact in the field… WHO AFRO Library is really involved in this programme and will do anything it can to achieve our goal.”
Marie Paule Kabore, Librarian, WHO Regional Office for Africa, Brazzaville, Congo

Volunteers

The HIFA2015 campaign is facilitated on a voluntary basis by the HIFA2015 Steering Group, with expert advice from the HIFA2015 Advisory Panel.

The campaign is supported by more than 3000 HIFA2015 members in more than 150 countries worldwide. Members interact via the HIFA2015 and CHILD2015 email forums, and the summaries of discussion threads form the foundation of the HIFA2015 Knowledge Base.  We are especially grateful to the many members who generously provide their time and expertise as HIFA2015 volunteers. Special thanks to our webmaster Nick Mifsud, and to Jeff van Campen, Nadia Hussain and Mike Jackson for help with website design and development. Thanks also to: Ibrahima Bob (French translation), Edwin Cabrera (Spanish translation), Pranab Chatterjee (advocacy), Adrian Dharmachandran (admin support), Nigel Earley (publications), John Eyers (literature search), Judith Haynes (admin support), Vanessa Jessop (HIFA2015 Updates), Louise Manners (admin support), Laura Murphy (admin support), Guy Norman (Spanish translation), Lucy Parker (admin support), Denise Pimenta (Portuguese translation), Julie N Reza (HIFA2015 Updates), Keith Rigley (publications), and Emma Shillam (admin support).
