The HIFA Annual Review for 2011 is published today on the HIFA website (PDF, 2.2Mb).
During 2011, HIFA grew from strength to strength. By the end of 2011 we had more than 7000 members across the five forums (this has since increased to more than 10,000 members today).
We are grateful to the many HIFA Supporting Organisations that have provided financial contributions, and especially to our main funder the British Medical Association, which has provided £10,000 per year for our operations. We need to double our annual income (currently around £20,000 per annum) in order to have the staff capacity to implement the three pillars of the HIFA Strategy: Forums, Knowledge Base and Advocacy Programme.
HIFA2015 is grounded in the right to health. It is critical that we understand and address the information needs of frontline healthcare providers, including citizens as well as health professionals, if we are to realise progressively the universal right to evidence-informed health care.
